THE PROJECT: 

Rejuvenating and protecting the paving of a major CBD walkway, in line with the management's stringent public safety, maintenance, aesthetic and quality specifications. One Raaffles Place is a high-traffic pedestrian pathway in the heart of Singapore's central business district, supporting a mixture of retail shopping, eateries and offices. High foot traffic and exposure to daily elements quickly made maintenance of the walkway an issue for authorities. A product was required that would provide long term protection in the unforgiving Singapore climate. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Provide long term protection against oil and water based staining.
• The appearance of the surface should be maintained.
•  Sealer must not affect the slip resistance of the surfaces.
•  Sealed surfaces should be easier to maintain and clean.
•  Longevity of the product – eliminating disruptions for re-application

THE 2-STEP SOLUTION: 

Cleaning:

Newpro's STONE CLEANER, a powerful, safe, neutral cleaner was used to clean the surface to ensure that all impurities and built-up are removed prior to sealing. It is important to make the surface look just how the client want it to be before it is sealed as it may be impossible to remove stains after the surface is sealed.

Sealing:

The walkway was sealed with 2 coats of STAIN-PROOF Original™. The tiny molecules in the sealer penetrate deep into the surface of even the most dense material, like granite, to create a permanent barrier against water and oil stains without changing the look or slip resistance of the surface.

This premium impregnating sealer barrier works by keeping water and dissolved salts well away from the surface guarding against unsightly damage like efflorescence, spalling and freeze/thaw. Dirt and grime are also unable to penetrate the treated surface keeping it looking good for longer and making regular maintenance easier. Also, because STAIN-PROOF Original™ is permanent, the need for costly and disruptive reapplication is eliminated.STAIN-PROOF Original™ is backed by a written 15 year performance warranty when applied by an Accredited Applicator.

THE PROJECT:

Newpro is proud to have been trusted with the masonry restoration of the Royal Thai Military Academy.

In line with our believe "Prevention is better than cure", we proposed a 2-step solution that would cut down the maintenance cost while providing superior stain protection, as well as keeping the main entryway looking good for longer.

A thorough clean was done in order to prepare the granite for sealing. Then, to finish, INTENSIFIA™, was applied on to bring out the natural colours of the granite, while making it more resistant to future staining.

Office carpet cleaning using our Envirodri (dry) system. 

Envirodri Dry Carpet Cleaner Microsponges are made from a natural 100% recycled material and are totally biodegradable. They are dermatologically balanced with pH 5.5, thus making them safe to handle and use. The highly absorbent envirodri Dry Carpet Cleaner Microsponges are impregnated with environmentally aware cleaning formulae which leave no sticky residues to attract dirt.

Fast turnover  -  Envirodri microsponges leave carpets clean, dry and fresh and ready for immediate use. The envirodri Dry Carpet Cleaner Microsponges change colour as they dissolve and absorb the dirt from the carpet fibres, trapping the dirt until vacuumed away.

Rust stain removal using a mixture of chemicals. Although the stains may appear to be very similar, no 2 worksites are the same. This is due to a number of factors such as location (indoor, outdoor, etc), underlaying problems (broken grouting, waterproofing membrane, etc) and duration of the stain being left on the surface.

WHY PROTECT YOUR SURFACES WITH PROTECTIVE FILM

Marble/Stone protection film is an ultra-durable polyethylene film designed with our HX scratch and chemical resistant coating to help protect your precious stone countertops from scratches, etchings and dings

Acidic compounds from food (such as lime, coffee, wine, orange, vinegar and tomato) and commonly used household cleaners can easily stain and etch into your kitchen stone countertop.

Those same compounds will have difficulty etching into surface protection film.
